Summer Bridge is designed to give incoming WVU Tech students the opportunity to boost their confidence and become college-ready. Participants will get a jump start on their math education by taking Math 122 during a six week summer term prior to their first freshman semester.
Academic resources including tutoring and mentoring are provided to support students throughout the summer session as they take the course. The program also seeks to support the mental health of incoming freshmen. Each week, students will have the opportunity to join one of our campus administrators for lunch to chat about classes, goals, and how those students fit into our campus community.
- Students must not miss any Math 122 classes.
- Program limited to 25 students.
- Students who earn an A in the course will receive a scholarship for $500.
- Students who earn a B in the course will receive a scholarship for $350.
- Students pursuing Nursing who pass Math 122 in summer will be on track to apply for acceptance into the Nursing program for the following fall.
- Pre-nursing students will have a nursing-related activity lasting until 1:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays after class.
